Peterson Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Peterson Regional Medical Center is a 126 bed independent, not-for-profit, sole community hospital that serves six surrounding counties. PRMC moved into it’s brand new facility in April 2008. The hospital anchors a 35-acre campus including an Ambulatory Care Center. Peterson Hospice Service and Peterson Home Care Services are also members of the Peterson Regional family of services. About the Department:
PRMC implemented MEDITECH Magic in 1994 and over the next several years, brought clinical and financial modules LIVE, including clinical documentation and eMAR/BMV. In July 2010, we migrated to version 6.0. Module support is decentralized, with module coordinators based in their respective departments. The clinical IS team is comprised of a coordinator and three specialists who manage a group of modules. Current plans include the implementation of CPOE and PDOC in the next 12 months. We are also pursuing achievement of Meaningful Use requirements.
Position Profile:
The Clinical Information Systems RN is responsible for support of MEDITECH PCS, ORM and eMAR/BMV modules by performance of:
- dictionary maintenance,
- train end users and new users,
- internal communication with users, peers and supervisors,
- external communication with MEDITECH support staff,
- lateral coordination and integration between other MEDITECH modules as well as interfaced third party software,
- support end users in multiple clinical departments,
- trouble shoot issues and problem solve, seeing through to resolution,
- suggest process improvements in keeping with the overall department and hospital vision and mission,
- respond to requests,
- test and train upgrades, changes, fixes, and enhancements.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a motivated, service-minded RN with MEDITECH clinical module dictionary training, maintenance, and support experience (Magic, Client Server, or 6.0).
- Client Server or 6.0 experience preferred.
- Specific modules preferred: NUR/PCS and/or ORM.
- Experience with EDM, PCM, OE/OM, and/or PHA a plus.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred.
